TOUCHING THE
LIVES OF ISRAELIS

Strengthening KBY congregations makes progressive Judaism more accessible to the vast majority of Israelis who yearn for an alternative to the orthodox approach to Judaism.

STRENGTHENING
THE JEWISH STATE

Contributing to KBY makes a positive statement to Israel about the value, validity and authenticity of progressive Judaism by strengthening and empowering the 50+ Reform and Conservative kehillot in Israel.

A beautiful poem:
What is a Congregation?

KBY Pizmon Sderot Project

The Pizmon Sderot Benefit CD will be made available to all associated groups raising funds for Sderot: the Masorti Movement (Conservative), the IMPJ (Reform), KBY congregations, and any of your congregations who would like to help.  Please contact us for information at: info@KBYonline.org

The CD of the concert was release on Aug 18th.
Click here to preview the CD.

Priority #1:  How to use the PizmonSderot CD to raise more money for community projects in Sderot?  Please contact us with your ideas.

The performance originally scheduled in Ashkelon was moved to Omer / Be'er Sheva because of rocket assaults in Ashkelon.  KBY sincerely appreciates the support of Kehillot Netzach Israel in Ashkelon, Eshel Avraham in Be'er Sheva, Magen Avraham in Omer & Ra'anan in Ra'anana.  Each congregation was forthcoming with help, facilities & hospitality for Pizmon and our guests.

Please help us do more good work?

We'd like to continue the Street Cinematheque program during Sukkot (Oct. 14-20th)

Here is how we spent your money!

In addition, to funding the concert & the CD production, you helped us to create and completely underwrite the Sderot "Street Cinematheque" program, Aug. 8th - 28th, 2008.

We hope to raise enough money to continue the Street Cinematheque during Sukkot (Oct 14-20th)

(Click on the graphic for more information on this program)

With the help and support of:
Sderot Youth Department
Sderot Cinematheque
Sderot Community Center
Youth Leadership Council
Congregation Magen Avraham (Omer)

and a special thanks to Pizmon!

In addition, we financed the purchase of a projector and sound system that will be used by the Youth Center & the Community Center!  Hired staff from Sderot & contributed to local businesses.

KBY extends it's thanks to these organizations and to our contributors.  What we have accomplished is amazing!

WITH SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS

We are especially grateful to Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco, CA for their generosity and support. Their contribution completely underwrote the project production and permitted us to redirect our sponsors contributions to direct aid to Sderot residents.
